HELP FOR NEWCOMERS

Are you French-speaking, living in Newfoundland and Labrador, and looking for work?


Our Immigration, Recruitment, and Employability Advisor supports French-speaking newcomers to Newfoundland and Labrador with their integration into the labour market - free of charge!


Depending on your immigration status, you will always find someone here to guide you. We offer a variety of free services, including:

  • Personalized individual consultations
  • Evaluation of your professional and personal goals
  • Labour market and business information
  • Introduction to the culture of local employers
  • Referral to appropriate services (including social services)
  • Matching with employers
  • Preparation and revision of employment resume; adaptation to the Canadian format
  • Assistance with cover letter writing
  • Job interview preparation and simulations

  • CLIENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    • Canadian immigration status of permanent resident, OR
    • A protected person under section 95 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), OR
    • A refugee as defined by the Convention, OR
    • A live-in caregiver, OR
    • A temporary foreign worker with a work permit approved under section 112 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), OR
    • A holder of a Working Holiday Programme (WHP) visa, OR
    • A holder of a Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) visa, OR
    • A Canadian citizen
