Horizon TNL’s Mandate

MANDATE

For more than 20 years, Horizon TNL (formerly RDÉE TNL) has been providing services and expertise in economic development.

 MISSION
The economic progress of Francophones in Newfoundland and Labrador.

VISION
Using French as a catalyst for economic development.

ADDED VALUE

Horizon TNL creates and supports initiatives to vitalize the economic development of Francophones in Newfoundland and Labrador.

History

In 1999, the Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador (FFTNL) was mandated to create RDÉE TNL (The Bilingual Economic Development Network of Newfoundland and Labrador).

RDÉE TNL continued as a branch of the FFTNL for almost 10 years. In 2008, RDÉE TNL was incorporated to become the 12th organization to join the francophone community of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Originally, our services were aimed at groups of individuals, businesses, and organizations. In 2014, we expanded to offer our services one-on-one.

In 2021, after more than 20 years of existence, RDÉE TNL began a new chapter by adopting a new brand image as Horizon TNL to signal its vision of openness to the province's diverse communities.

Our non-profit organization is funded largely in part by the Enabling Fund for Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC) of the federal Department of Employment and Social Development Canada (EDSC).

Funded by the Government of Canada’s Enabling Fund for OLMCs.
